The ultimate purpose of Praise and Worship is to bring people into the presence of God so they can receive from the Holy Spirit and from the Word of God. We believe that Praise and Worship should create an atmosphere in which people can experience the presence and the glory of God in their midst.
Our style of worship may be new to you, so we want to explain why we worship the way we do. Praise at Grace Christian Church is upbeat and lively and our Worship is heartfelt and filled with reverence for God. Worship is an expression of our hearts to God. The list to the right is an example of what you might experience in Praise and Worship and in the services at Grace. We’ve included these supportive scriptures to help answer any questions you may have. We are blessed with many talented musicians and singers at Grace Christian Church which enables our Praise and Worship to include a wide variety of music – hymns to Christian Rock and everything in between. Our singers and musicians understand the importance of music in worshiping God and continually strive to increase their knowledge and use of musical talents God has blessed them with. |
MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS TO PRAISE THE LORD, God has gifted people with musical abilities to worship Him. We are excited about praising the Lord and we show it. Our music and singing are done at a jubilant praise level with constant monitoring by our sound personnel for your comfort. Psalm 150:3-5 LIFTING UP HANDS is a gesture of praise and supplication. PRAYING AND SINGING IN THE SPIRIT is praying or singing in an unknown language or tongue that is given by the Holy Spirit. MESSAGES IN TONGUES AND INTERPRETATIONS is a public message delivered in a tongue and followed by an interpretation for the edification of all those present. I Corinthians 14:13, 27 BEING OVERCOME BY THE SPIRIT is when a person is temporarily overcome by the power of the Holy Spirit when being prayed for and may fall back. John 18:6, Rev. 1:17 LAYING ON OF HANDS is a channel for God’s grace to minister to others through the impartation of the Holy Spirit.
